the art of shoveling dirt

deep hole
by the light of the moon
I shovel dirt
in and in
to bottomless nothing
I look for the
zen and the art
of shoveling
because I wonder
why
it gets bigger
and how something
that to others
seems simple
to me is
immensely complicated
